"We are all homos... homo sapiens."

The calculator in the Jello scene was pretty funny, too.

Do a search on youtube.com, I guarantee you'll find it there. Might not be up until tomorrow morning but someone will upload it I am sure.

DD and I just about died laughing when Dwight opened the box from Jim. And then when he pointed the "gaydar" thingie at himself and it beeped - "Oh, no". :

I missed it. : Who knew it would be on at 8:30EST instead of 9:30 LIKE IT ALWAYS IS!!!! So there I was, blithely watching Survivor...waiting for the main event. Sigh. The Office is the one premiere, other than Lost, that I was most looking forward to this fall.

I just checked YouTube and it's not there yet, but maybe later...fingers crossed!

I KNOW! I HATE the new time! I missed half of "Earl" b/c I was trying to get the kids to bed. :

I hope they change it back!

Argh! I hate when NBC changes up the time! They seem to do that a lot with season premieres. It's like they want to make it difficult for people to watch. Sucks. I had to scramble around to find a VHS tape because we all got home at 7:45 and 8/8:30 is when I put DD to bed. I did get to see it later thankfully!

But anyway....

Awesome episode!! I agree with everything that's been said. Tons of great lines! And poor, poor Oscar. "Maybe I don't want you to touch me." Although a three month paid vacation! Woo Hoo! Crazy stuff. Man he just plays that part sooo perfectly too-what an excellent actor, just brilliant. You could feel just the frustration and disbelief in how everyone else was acting upon finding out. I was almost choked up when he yelled at Michael and then Michael was about to leave the room and Oscar made him stay. What a guy! I love that there is this underlying comraderie and dare I say, caring, even though they all act so obnoxious to each other.

And Kelly is so hilarious. "You're so much cooler now," or whatever she said.

And Phyllis! I love Phyllis. She's awesome!

Everything was really great! And there is clearly all kinds of interesting things to come...

Crap. I'm irritated that they changed the time. DH and I were soooo looking forward to the season premiere and now we missed the darn thing. Ugh.

I wonder if you can download it from iTunes? I'd be willing to pay a couple bucks for it...

I don't think they'll change it back. Earl and the Office were wildy popular last year and they need anchor shows for Thursday night since Will and Grace is done. They'll probably keep Earl and the Office at 8 and put something lame on at 9.

I died when Meredith ate the sanitizer too! DH said "Why did she do that?" and I had to remind him that she's an alcoholic.

Great episode..And the new office members look promising..They seem wierd too!!

I just don't understand why they do that. It's like they want people to miss it.

Anyway, I DL'd the season two finale from iTunes for $1.99 and it was fairly shorty after it aired. I am not sure what the time frame is that they have it available, but it's not too long. It's really hard to find it on their site though. I remember that.

Want to watch, but my brother told me to watch the other seasons on dvd first... that it was a must.

Good advice? I am not a bg tv watcher, yet I find myself suddenly interested in several series I'm hearing a lot about and really don't want to have to find an watch all the previous seasons to catch up if I don't have to.

I just started watching The Office mid-season, last year. DS and I were INSTANTLY hooked. I got DD hooked on the reruns this summer.

Never saw any previous episodes - but DD is bugging me to buy them on DVD.

i think watching season ONE is essential and watching the finale of season two

all of them are good

but gettign the first season from netflix, and downloading or borrowing season 2 finale will catch you up enough to watch this season and give you the info you need. IMO

loved last night's

i needed the many many laughs.... i loved that we had an even more inappropriate kiss between co-workers this episode LOL

michael, michael, michael .....wow

If you can tape this seasons then you might want to watch the last two seasons then this one. But I wouldn't miss out on them if you don't have a way to record season 3 episodes..

You can catch up on the first two seasons fairly easily. Season One was only 6 episodes and they're only like 22 minutes long. I wish it was an hour show!

I think it's nice to have the backstory on a lot of things but not a must! We started watching mid season last year and bought the first season and caught up on the 2nd through reruns!

I also kinda wish it was still later. It was hard to sit down and watch it since the kids were still runiing around. During the 2nd commercial break I looked at DH and said "KIDS IN BED NOW!" and he ran and got the kids teeth brushed and I got DD's diaper on very quickly!!

I am not happy with shows I like getting changed to an earlier time. Looks like I'm not watching Earl this year so I can get the kids in bed a bit early to watch this. It would be nice if they could put all the crappy shows at 8/7c and have all the good shows later

I tried to describe the whole show for my husband since he is going to miss the next 5 episodes, he laughed quite a bit so I must have described it well

Mama to three wonderful boys and a fabulous baby girl.
My heartfelt thanks to all those that have donated milk to others; you are amazing

I was laughing in bed last night thinking about Jim's expression (suddenly glued to his monitor) when his new co-worker kicked the trashcan in a rage about the jello! My dh was annoyed, lol!

We watched it again tonight and DH kept rewinding that part where after Jan tells Michael to imagine that he's gay he says "Well, I'm not and you of all people should know that Jan!" and gives a smug look to the camera. That look is just hysterical..

And Jim is just priceless..But I can't believe he gave up so easily "So you're really going to marry him, huh?" and walks off..Boooooo!!!!!

Michael trying to kiss Oscar was too much. Poor Oscar! And then Dwight going in for a kiss as well.
The gaydar was hysterical.

Question: Does Jim know that Pam called off the wedding?
