Juliana Marguelis isn't going to be a celebrity guest spot; she's a new character. I THINK I remember somewhere hearing that she's going to be Tony's new goomara.

However, I LOVE the fact that Chris (I'm assuming) hit Lauren Bacall. What a great sense of humor Ms. Bacall has! That was wonderfully wicked.
Yep! Absolutely fabulous!

What a fantastic episode! The actor who plays AJ did such a great job. And he dropped the knife! Of course!

Gasp -- will Tony now be faithful to Carmela?!?! Hurray for near-death experiences!!

Yeah, GREAT episode!

Vito & his friend reminded me of "Brokeback Mtn" ... sad when he said something like " I'm so used to lying about who I am..."

Wondering if Tony is really going stay faithful!... wow!

I felt sad that he sold the chicken place, all the old "neighborhoods" are changing so fast...

Looks like AJ may be heading for a huge crisis.

Can't wait until next week....

Incredible. The scene between AJ and Tony by the car was so moving. It never ceases to amaze me how the writers always nail family dynamics head on.

I said it once and I'll say it again. AJ is HOT! Whoa Nelly...

Oh yeah -- my husband and I laughed so hard at the "Where's my smoked turkey!" fit. Sexual frustration leads to the need to eat smoked turkey.

Yeah, that scene was great. The only thing was, I was laughing at "you sit there with your bowl of ice cream and watch The Godfather..." and I couldn't get back into the moment. Tony and his bowl of ice cream. Classic. You got it, AJ! Too funny. But, I totally agree, the writing of the scenes involving the family dynamics is spectacular. Everything AJ said is exactly what he would say. It's not glamorous and it doesn't sound fake. It's awkward and real and just like it would be IRL. Totally believable.

As far as AJ looks, he doesn't really do it for me--maybe because I am getting old and see him from Carmela's perspective or something. However, I can see that others would think he was hot. He's got that sort of Brit-pop band kind of haircut and look which really works for him with his pale skin and dark hair. They really went the right way with that choice.

For a minute I thought the scene on the boat (Stugots II ) was a dream because AJ's hair looked long again but in the scene befoe at Blockbuster it looked much shorter. Continuity glitch or was I imagining it?

I like re-visiting the lines from the show on the Web site:

Silvio "Jason Masucci was down in Tampa visiting his mother - thought he saw Vito in a Jenny Craig. Turned out to be some other fat piece of sh*&."

Tony "It's the chopping off of the guy's finger, right? I never shoulda told you cuz that's all you fixate on with him."

Melfi "Sociologists say that twenty-six is in fact the new twenty-one"
Tony "And the new twenty-six is what? I'm forty-six. So that means I'm what, thirty-five?"

Elliott "I think that's a non-sequitur accusation."

Tony "What am I supposed to do? Put out an APB 'cause a guy takes it up the ass? It's a victimless crime."

I thought the exact same thing.

I think the writers are just luring us in with the whole "Tony turns over a new leaf" thing. I bet they're about to play a big trick on us. Tony is Tony.

I think AJ is getting off on feeling popular/cool with people who would otherwise ignore him, by his being Tony Soprano's son. They all think AJ's rich and can "get things done". They think he has power, and access to Tony in that way. So he is selling his drums, asking his parents for money, etc., etc. just to subsidize this illusion... so he can keep buying Cristal champagne and expensive tabs at cool clubs.

He is a loser with a capital L. I can't stand AJ. He has zero self-esteem. And it is interesting how they are showing that he is developing panic disorder just like Tony.

another quote:

when Tony, Silvio and Christopher are in front of the deli and see Julianna walking across the street.....Silvio says something like

"Id do her"

and Christopher says to Silvio,

"Wait.....let me go get the viagra!"

Was it me, or did AJ start feeling the anxiety attack when his friend asked him to do the favor? Like the illusion of being big man is one thing, but actually having to do something about it caused the panic attack....and typical AJ to drop the knife

The scene in the car outside the police station was really touching to me. So real. Dh and I have always said Tony wants more for his dc than the mob life, but I can see perhaps Tony might have just seen something there.....

Oh, and goodness, Vito and the Johnny Cakes guy. Ouch, that was quite a brawl. I think I'm actually rooting for Vito, wow!

And Tony with the lunch meats...that fridge has been the center of so much of life. I know the fidelity won't last, but wasn't the scene in the closet w/Carm helping him get buttoned very loving? Thought that was a nice touch.

I am going to really miss them when they're gone

I have retired from administration work, so if you have a question about anything MDC-related, please contact Cynthia Mosher. Thanks!

Yeah, me too. He was such a slimeball in NJ, but now that he is in a different environment, where there is relative peace and acceptance, he's blooming. I actually like him now and feel sorry for him. It's a fantastic storyline.

It was a tip. You know, like you tip the waiter? Or the matre'd? And Tony is a big tipper, I'm sure. Obviously, AJ is expected to be a big tipper too. And he's living up to the hype.

I think AJ had the panic attack b/c he is realizing these people wouldnt even say hi to him if his father was not Tony... Also, remember way back when he was in high school and on the football team (I think the football team) and he would pass out.... I think its interesting that both Tony and AJ are prone to panic attacks.

I really like the Vito storyline also. They are doing such a great job w/ it so far. Its going to be a bummer when they find Vito and whack him.

It's probably going to be impossible for Tony to stay faithful but I just keep hoping that he'll stop cheating. I really like the relationship between him and Carm. (I'm a couples therapist so of course I like watching them develop).

I hated Vito too but now I'm liking him. I'm glad he went back to the diner.
