I wish they'd do repeats of past seasons, bc I never saw those. A few weekends ago they had a few from the season with santino and chloe, but they didn't finish (who won?). All I see now are this season's repeats.

Chloe won, and I think her line rocked!!! I just loved watching her drive away in the silver Saturn roadster!!

I was sorry to see Alison go. And I REALLY objected to Heidi's comments about A's dress making her model look like a plus size model. WTF is wrong with being a plus size model? Fat women like nice clothes, too, ya know. The way Heidi said it made her sound like she'd rather have leprosy. Which she probably would, come to think of it.

I've only watched a few weeks, but do they ever have male models?

No. The show is also a competition for the models. Whoever is paired with the winning designer gets a spread in Elle among other things. In addition, the (correct me if I'm wrong) show is about womenswear design. Several of the designers have come from a menswear past, though.

ps, cant wait for tonight!

and that was fun to check out allison's website too. she has had a very interesting life, i would love to go to school in all the places she has been.

LOL - I see I am not the only one counting down to Wednesday night!

Bublble skirts - didn't like them the first time around (in shiny fabric), dont' like them now. They aren't flattering on anyone.

Re Griffen2004 and plus size model - I don't think Heidi meant plus-size models look bad, but no woman wants to wear clothes that make them look larger - which I think was the point that Heidi was trying to make.

Ok - one hour to go!!!! Daddy has bed-time duty tonight!

That was the best episode yet!
It was so interesting to learn more details about the participants lives.
Laura is pregnant with #6, I wonder how her designs will look for her maternity clothes. Vincent won his first challenge and goodbye Robert...

Dd and I watch it together each week. At 3.5, she is a reality tv veteran. This year, we've watched American Idol, Blow Out, and Project Runway. We tried a few others but they all sucked. I am mdcing while we wait and she is watching Blues Clues on demand.

25 minutes to go

I seriously don't think I can watch this show anymore (and that's after 3 years of not missing an episode). Ugh! Vincent wins?? Please. Obviously to "prove" they were right not to auf him last week. Where was that collar going??1975????

How Uli didn't win is just disgusting.

But Robert definitely - it was his time. Michael Kors cracked me up "zzzzzzzzz"

okay, maybe one more episode...

Uli should be consistently in the top 3. Maybe they want her to be the sleepr or something? The one who come up out of nowhere?

I LOVED that reversible dress! And I think what happened with Angela's mom should have ended in an auf.

Ok - I thought this was the first time Vincent designed something that was even "ok." The collar was way too big but the dress fit well and the model seemed very happy with it. However, I thought Uli's and Michael's dresses were both better - the reversible dress rocked and Uli made a wonderful outfit. I particularly respect that Uli made a great outfit for a larger woman. I understand why it was hard for them to design for larger women without any preparations since they have no patterns to follow and probably haven't made larger size clothes before - but some of the stuff was just TERRIBLE!

Jeffery behaved so badly - I almost wanted to see him go home, but it really was Robert's time. His outfit was boring, whereas Jeffery's at least looked like his design esthetic, even if it ended up fitting like a big garbage sack.

I did find it interesting that he said that he was a homeless junky and his mom said he was a recovering alcoholic - which might partially explain why he has the emotional maturity of a 15 year old. He hasn't had a chance to grow-up yet.

Didi anyone else love seeing the photos of when the designs were kids?

Favorite quote from this show: Laura "5, 6, 7 kids, whatever, it doesn't make much difference. I'll just throw it in the pile with the rest of them." tee-hee.

While I would never tolerate Jeffrey's behavior, the whole dramatic "I've never been talked to like that in my life" was a little much for me. :

ITA - she's a bit of a dramaqueen BUT if ANYONE treated my mom the way Jeffrey treated Angela's mom - they wouldn't live to tell the tale, KWIM?

you know, coming from anyone here I would also giggle, but it kind of rubbed me the wrong way when she said it. I think she's one of those NYC career women who feels she has to minimize her mothering side because she might be judged/not taken seriously for it. She made a couple other comments about being pregnant that made me feel that way, too. In any case, I couldn't imagine being newly preggers and being under that pressure-all I want to do in the early stages is veg in front of HGTV.

To me, I thought Laura's commetn was kind of tongue-in-cheek becasue I'm sure she catches a lot of flack for having more than the standard 2.5 kids, kwim. I feel so badley for her b/c here she is preggo and can't even tell her dh due to the rules of the show but it was nice for her to tell her mom- the look on her mom's face was PRICELESS.

Jeffrey was so out of line- had that been my mom or sister he was talking to- there would have been more than 1 auffing last night! Then at the end while he was crying about how some of the people left aren't "good people"- OMG! And the way his mom was so dismissive of Angela's mom being upset- both he and his mom need a talking to.

Vincent did kind of redeem himself to me last night with his comments about ebing able to design for your client despite the size even though he did choose a smaller model to design for. I'm going to miss Robert's hilarious comments though. I think that last night has kind of put a damper on this season for me though.
