I've loved this show for several years. There's just something about it....

Anyone else?

I am SO glad to find another Rescue Me fan. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. I am just watching last season on DVD so I'm a bit behind. I don't have cable now so I have no idea what's happening this season.

Denis Leary is hysterical and the other actors are just so talented. It's a great show but I don't know anyone else who appreciates it at all.

Are you watching the current season?

Count me in. I love this show! I've been following this season and it looks good so far. I am a big fan of Dennis Leary, and the writing on the show is excellent.

I really love the scenes with Tommy and the baby (no-name ).

Happy Mommy to one amazing girl (6y) and one sweet boy (2y), and wife to DH since 7/03 : :

I have the DVD's too and love to watch them from time to time. The new season is awesome...different, but very addicting. Tommy is on the straight and narrow in the first two episodes, which is interesting. Tivo will catch this week's episode tonight...

I know! I'm always trying to figure out if it's a real baby in the scene or a doll. It's been real a few scenes and fake a few scenes.

I loved the last scene from last week...spank bank!!

I really like this show too, but find myself not wanting to sometimes...I find it a bit misogynistic, and feels like it plays into a lot of negative stereotypes about New Yorkers & firefighters.

So when's the next episode?

I also really like this show.

Although I was trying to recommend it to a girlfriend, and trying to describe it ("is it a comedy?") and I was having such a tough time. There are things that are so funny, but the lows are SO low.

I was shocked (and yet not) at the chief at the end of the last episode.

I have LOVED Rescue Me from the very beginning! My whole family knows that Mom has to be home by 10 pm on Wednesdays to get her Rescue Me fix! I honestly think it is the best thing on tv!

I'm so that I don't have cable right now!!! Makes me want to sign up again. Maybe I should call and see if there are any specials...

Rescue Me is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. There are few shows that I really get into, but this is one of them.

Add me to the Rescue Me fan club! DH and I record every episode and have watched from the very beginning. So addicting. Hilarious but dramatic too.
ITA-spank bank. And the chief : Oh and our favorite: N*gg*r! : I would never think that word is funny but now it is, in context.

11/06 and 1/09 :

Another RM fan here. DH and I love it! We've been hooked since the 1st season. I just wish it wasn't only on in the summer! Love the opening song too!

They filmed the first season in my neighborhood. DD was a baby & i would put her in the stroller, slap on a FDNY t-shirt & go walking around with her hoping to "run into" Denis Leary Sigh, never happened!

DH is a HUGE fan of the show. I like it but it makes me cringe so much!

Would you recommend to get this show on DVD? I'm guessing yes...

YES...the only drawback is you will be completely unable to do anything else until you've watched them all!

This season is really good.

Great show, I love all the characters in it despite them all having SERIOUS flaws!!

I have to admit I am a little worried about the new baby (does that child have a name?). I would hate after losing Conor if they lose another one. Janet has serious PPD I think. Although I might have been slightly less filled with PPD if I could look like that in a pair of jeans. I had to laugh the episode before last when he thong was sticking out. I didn't think moms of newborns wore thongs, but I guess that is just me who stuck to the giant pregnancy patns for a while LOL!

Normally I really enjoy this show but last night's episode was terrible. Anyone else feel the same way?
