I love this show, but I have never been one of the people who tunes in just to watch Jim and Pam (or PB&J with JAM, if you will).

But tonight, for the first time, I was really into it.
(The setup: Kevin and Andy talking about how cool Ryan is, rich, blah blah, get any girl he wants... the Ryan tries hitting on Pam, in a really kind of creepy and uncool way, and when she's really bluntly like, "I'm with Jim", which you knew was going to happen, because, I mean, if the whole Roy engagement proved nothing else, Pam is incredibly loyal.)

Then... the best part... when Jim says:

"I guess he can't get any girl he wants."

I whooped and gave the TV double thumbs up. :
So awesome. One of my favorite moments in the series-- and yes, I have seen every stinking episode.

Trying to turn hearts and minds toward universal healthcare, one post at a time.

That was awesome! I think Jim always knew that Ryan was a tool.

Creed with dyed black hair was fantastic!

Ryan has always acted kind of snotty. Like he's better than everyone else. I think this episode took him down a notch. I loved the little clip at the end where he says they wouldn't give him noogies if they knew he'd paid $200 for his haircut! He says it with pride then realizes it sounds stupid!

And LOL at Kelly for telling him she was pregnant. That was funny! Then she doesn't even understand why he's mad at her for lying to him!

Besides the best quote of the night (about Ryan not being able to get ANY girl)...

"He smells like what Pierce Brosnan probably smells like."

I also CRACKED up when Kelly told Ryan that she was pregnant, then they cut to her shaking her head. TOO funny.

And as wrong as it is, "Pam is the office mattress," was funny. I think it was the delivery more than the actual line.

DD and I were sooooooooooo sad at Toby's obvious jealousy. We want Toby to find a nice chick for himself! We don't want Dwight and Angela to break up, either.

"It's a feral barn cat" "Mose calls him Garbage"

Dwight crying in the car, and then Michael driving the car into the lake, full speed ahead - "Maybe it knows a shortcut!" - priceless.

Jan running into Ryan.

And yes, the best line of the night:

Quote:
"I guess he can't get any girl he wants."

That was the best line of the night for the JAM-lovin' in me, but man, they were ALL funny tonight!!

"And...that is why we waited so long to tell people."

"Gift baskets are the essence of class and fanciness."

"Sends his own proxy. Good for you!"

"Love the beard. Keep it forever."

...Garbage, the feral cat.

Wow, there are so many good lines. Ryan was a spectacular jerk, Kelly cracked me up (You honestly don't know why I would be mad? No."), Creed was hilarious, Phyllis' line in the breakroom, Andy and the awesome lessons....

Michael: "My heart is soaring with the eagle's nest."

The whole schtick between Pam and Jim where he asks her if the magic is gone now that everyone knows, especially the part where Jim says it was good while it lasted and Pam says, "Eh." They are so cute together! I just want to pick them up and put them in my pocket.

Ryan: "I don't want to say I had a meteoric rise. But I did."

And OMG was Kelly hilarious.

Pam reading Michael's "notes": "'You can put your mouth on that.' How would you work that into a normal conversation, Michael?"

Michael (sheepishly): "If someone were blowing up balloons..."

I thought this episode was better than last week's too.

For some reason, the part about cash being better than gift baskets, and then "Cash baskets!" cracked me up.

And of course, driving the car into a lake is priceless Michael. And they were in full-blown crisis mode getting out of that 2 feet of water.

And THEN, he uses that as the reason why technology is bad. bwah!

Yeah . . .oh YEAH. I was NOT disappointed last night. I was worried with the season premier, but last night had ALL the usual Office magic.

Too many great lines to count!

The one that touched me was when Michael remembered that the one man's daughter was allergic to nuts. Aww. He's such a good guy at heart.

 2/02, 4/05, 2/07, 11/09, and EDD 12/25/11 wave.gif

That and the fact that he was so (over-the-top, of course) happy for Jim and Pam. How can you not love that?

I thought last night's episode was much better than the season opener, for sure.

Anyone else surprised by Phyllis being so rude to Pam? She said something like, "You can't just assign sales based on who you're sleeping with this week." I was surprised, she's usually so nice, and positive.

The whole Kelly and Ryan thing cracked me up too. When she was all dressed up and said, "Oh. Is Ryan coming back today?" like she didn't know. And the pregnancy thing.

Take care,

Phyllis has proven to be a little snarky at time..Like when Karen was new..

Lots of awesome quotes..I can't remember it exactly but Michaels quote at the end "Technology isn't so great. Technology tries to kill you in a lake."

Toby totally cracked me up. "Let's just wait and see." Poor guy. He needs a woman bad.

You know what I noticed? When Ryan was talking to Kelly, he said how Karen had asked him out last year and he turned her down because he was seeing Kelly. But really, Ryan asked her out and she turned him down because she was dating Jim. Ryan really is a sleaze. That's 2 times he's lost out to Jim.

You know, I was wondering about this, too. So I checked Officequotes.net to find out what they said again... Here it is:

Kelly: I want you to tell me that you care about me. That is what I want.
Ryan: Kelly, I'm your boss now, OK? You can't keep talking to me like I'm your boyfriend.
Kelly: Oh big strong man, fancy new whatever. I don't think you ever cared about me.
Ryan: I never cared about you? Six months ago Karen Filipelli sent me an email. Asked me out. I said no, because I was committed to our relationship.
Kelly: Well, I hope you're still committed because I'm pregnant. [Ryan in shock]

Bolding mine. So Karen asked Ryan out six months ago. And if I'm not mistaken - correct me if I am, please! - Karen was still with Jim six months ago?

Thoughts?

I think he is lying, I remember that I thought he had asked Karen out too.

I am actually disappointed in Ryan. I really liked his character before when he was "the intern"
I loved how flippant Kelly was with him though. She is so awesome...One of my favorite episodes was when they were betting on what she would say!

Oh, for sure, Ryan was lying to Kelly. I remember last season- in the girls room- the guys were all sitting around and Jim brought it up that Karen told him about the email asking her out. And Ryan kinda fumbled and said he didn't think they were serious, etc.

Yes.

Andy was on the Today Show this morning for an interview. He was kind of really Andy-like in real life as well! Either he's really a method actor, or the real him is socially awkward and kind of geeky!

Did anyone notice that when Stanley was calling to get pledges for the 5K, Michael called him "Stankley"?
