I have been watching the top 101 all-time best sketches of SNL and it brought back some memories... which are your favorites? Some of mine are the more popular ones:

~the chippendales one with Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley
~the Cowbell sketch

Then:
~The Gap Girls ("LAY OFF ME, I'M STARVING!")
~The Blossom sketch with Melanie Hutsell as Blossom and Sarah Gilbert as Six
~Mike Meyers as Simon

Kerri, mom to Doran  angel2.gif  (born still 7/6/05 at 33 weeks), Mairaed (11/16/07),  angel1.gif 11/15/08 at 10 weeks,  Kieran (11/2/09).   angel1.gif 1/11/11 at 15 weeks

I loved Will Ferrell and Rachel Dratch as the "lovahhhs." I also loved Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer. Oh yeah, remember Sprockets? That was hilarious as well!

Going back to the old days before I was an SNL watcher, I love the sketch with Dan Akroyd and Candace Bergen where Akroyd plays a horrible shady toy salesman who hawks stuff like "Bag o' Glass" and "Bag o' Sulfuric Acid" as kids' toys.

I'm not too wild about the current SNL but Dick in a Box was one of the funniest songs I've ever heard.

And I always loved Deep Thoughts with Jack Handy! He even has a website!

Heck, Gilda Radner in ANY character ...

and LAND SHARK!!!!!

-Will Ferrell and Rachel Dratch as the Lovahs..it's gross and humorous at the same time
-Will Ferrell in the Actors Studio (My favorite episode was Kate Hudson as Drew Barrymore. She totally nailed Drew's idiosyncrasies)

I have the "SNL Best of the Game Show Parodies" and they are hysterical. Oh- and I love the "oops I crapped my pants" commercial...

I was just coming here to post that! That pops into my head SO FREQUENTLY!

I also loved Mike Myers' Simon and Dieter sketches as a kid.

I remember Steve Martin doing an Egyptian sketch and it was a King Tut song.....a blender was involved. I think this was before my time on this planet but I guess I've seen it on "best of" shows or something.

Mike Myers as the kid on the jungle gym w/ the helmet.

The coffee talk sketches. "Oy, i'm getting a little farklempt, talk amongst yourselves!"

I don't know how I forgot Will Ferrell as Alex Trebek. Will is hilarious as the poker-faced Alex Trebek faced with all sorts of incompetent celebrities. The best contestant by far was Burt Reynolds.

Phil Hartman, as President Clinton, in the McDonald's. I believe the name of the sketch is "Warlords".

Secret Service Guy: "But, sir, Mrs. Clinton said that we shouldn't let you eat fast food."

Clinton: "Listen, this is the least of our worries when it comes to secrets we keep from Mrs. Clinton, okay?"

Say this Filet-O-Fish sandwich is food donated by the UN...

Pretty much anything Phil Hartman or Mike Meyers.

Or Alec Baldwin. I swear he should be a regular. Except now I love 30 Rock.
there was one where he played a doctor who pronounced everything wrong. To this day I have a tendency to say es-SO-fay-gus instead of esophagus.

I fell in love with SNL for the first time by watching Celebrity Jeopardy clips downloaded in Kazaa!

My favorite is Amy Poehler's character, the little girl that jumps around yelling "Rick! Rick! I wanna do this, Rick!"

*Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, and David Spade as "Gap Girls"
*Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg "D in a Box"
*Andy Samberg doing "Roy Rules"
*Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell doing "Lazy Sunday- Chronicles of Narnia"

"D*** In A Box" is hysterical. I still watch that on YouTube sometimes.

I love anything with Will Ferrell, particularly those "cheerleader" sketches.

^ Oh yes that was hilarious. Some chick on Youtube did her own version called "it's my box in a box" (vag). LOL. It wasn't as funny though.

There are SO many I love, but one that just popped into my head (not my absolute fave though) was the "Mr. Peepers" sketch when The Rock came on as Mr. Peepers' father. They were so funny together.

I loved the Jeffrey's sketches. (Where Will Ferrell was the manager of the men's store, and always had a teeny tiny phone.)

I miss Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sans working together - it was always more funny to watch them trying NOT to crack up when the other would say something hysterical.
