Anyone know where to buy strings of plain old Christmas lights? I tried OBI, but there were only ropes of lights, or candle lights. I'd also like replacement bulbs (also no luck at OBI).

On the same topic, is there anywhere to go see neighborhoods lit up, or large light displays? Do they do that here? I've seen some random houses decorated...???

Oh my gosh, if it weren't so close to Christmas I would simply mail you the ones I bought while in Germany. Ugh...I'll probably never end up using them again. They are strings of white lights made like American ones.

I bought them at a fairly large store while I we were in wasn't IKEA...dang, I can't for the life of me remember the name of the store but it was a store like Big Lots in the town of Luxembourg.
Maybe it was an OBI...could have been.

I have 2 new packages if could mail. Pls make an offer if interested. I don't have a tree this year.

They are a string but round compared to the US ones which plug into each other to make a chain.

Found this online if you can't find something in stores.

I know I have seen them at several stores. I think maybe Hela had several different styles? I will likely need to pick up a few more in the next few days, so I will try to remember to check and report back.

You can get them at local stores like Lidl or Aldi in the Netherlands, Belgium and germany, but usually they are sold out quickly.
Often "schlecker" online shopping or "rossmann" online shopping also add them for a certain time in their stock.

Good luck!
