I hope Indiana does this, too.

And maybe then I would be much better about remembering to take my reusable bags into the store with me, instead of forgetting them in the backseat of my car.

Starting May 1st 2013 there will be a ban on plastic bags in Eugene oregon. Maybe in Portland to. If a bag is need ,a paper bag will cost a minimum of 5 cents.

San Francisco has also put a ban on styrofoam food containers. Every time I travel outside of the city and get served in a styrofoam plate or get a styrofoam takeaway box, I cringe a little. I am proud to live in CA and to be part of a city that spearheads such initiatives. 

 

Paper grocery bags cost 10 cents - but they are great to use for collecting recycling items.
