I've been having issues with finding childcare while I work so my mom took DS (turns 3 in 3 months) for almost a week. I didn't pump or anything while he was gone, they started to harden slightly after a few days but softened some again on their own. I've been with him for a little over 24 hours now and, other than the time I brought up nursing, he hasn't asked. Is this it? 5.5 days away and he just forgets that its an option? He's a tiny bit stuffy so I feel bad about not offering but I don't want to get him back 'in the habit' when he doesn't "need" it just to keep him going until he refuses. Should I just let things go and don't offer/refuse?

If you're looking to wean, then this probably is a good time. However he still may ask occasionally.  My first daughter started to wean just after 3.5 years.  She would ask every two weeks or so.  I think she nursed about 6-8 times from when she first started weaning until she last asked, and that was over a period of 9 months or so.

Neither of mine would nurse with a stuffed nose at that age; it might be that as much as the absence.
