I am considering UAC. I have friends who have done it. I also have never had problems with my births that were not caused by medical intervention. I am so sick of csects and rude staff who seem to know it all and try to rule me. t especially gets me when some young nurse fresh out of nursing school tells me which way is up. I do not want my arms strapped down to a table and then not see my baby when he is born. I don't want him whisked off to the nursery while I worry that they are giving him the shots I have said no to. I am tired of others being in control of my life, my child, and my births when I go to the hospital.

Anyone have suggestions and such? I have read extensively about UAC in the past. I didn't know if there were any prep books or websites or such I should be reading. Thanks!

how many c-sections have you had? not that it necessarily matters, I'm just curious

definitely visit the UC forum and read the resources in the stickies.

3 csects. My last birth was a vbac. 2 of the csects were because the doctor simply changed his/her policy at the last second to not do vbacs. I stupidly went along with it, even though I desparately did not want to. My first csect was due to an early induction because I was due on the holiday and that was too inconvenient for the doctor.

oh, so you already had a vba3c? That's wonderful!

I'd honestly love a UC, too, but have had 4 sections and 0 vaginal births.

Mama, I had 2 c/s, have a VBA2C in the hospital and feel EXACTLY how you do. Tired of being mistreated and the only issues I've had were b/c of interventions! I am planning my first UC. You can totally do this. Go to the sticky up top and look at the list of books to read. I've read a couple and they help. This forum helps a ton too! You can totally do this if it's what's right for you!!!
