Was really hoping this labour would be different than my other 2, but nope, started with my water breaking. Been having very sporadic contractions, ranging from 30 minutes to 7 minutes apart. Seem to be at 12-15 most of the time. Hopefully that means it'll be sooner than 4 days until I have a baby (what happened with ds2).

Just trying to find things to do instead of just sitting here wondering when things are going to kick in. Wish I'd managed to get my project started to scan in all the pictures in my photo albums.

You still might end up with a baby before me.

Labour still hasn't kicked in. Only leaking when I bend over now, which is nice. Not as annoying to deal with as every time I stand up, the way it was with ds2.

I'm actually hoping things don't really get going until h is feeling better, he's recovering from a labrynthitis attack last night. Even just one more day would help.

Taken vitamin c a couple times today. Can't seem to find a thermometer, though....oh yay, h just found one!

Still getting contractions, but they're really erratic, mostly around 12 minutes apart & a minute long. Going to go to bed with the kids soon & hopefully get some sleep.

Wow, good luck mama! And I hope you don't have to wait four days, too.

Hurts too much to sleep. Wish I had some idea how dilated I am, but of course can't get checked. Lost lots of plug, though. Not sure how close or long contractions are, they hurt too much to hit the space bar on contraction master. Definitely closer than they were.

Don't remember this much pain this early with ds2. Hypnobabies doesn't seem to be helping. Knew I should have practiced more. Having a beer so I can hopefully keep coping with them. Baby moving lots.

Made h go to bed. He can't help anyway right now & he's still not really functional anyway. Think I might try a shower soon. Don't want to sort out the pool too soon...the only place we had to put it was the bedroom & the kids are asleep in there. Think I'd have to deflate it to move it.

Not yet. Last 2 were about 5 minutes apart & just over a minute. Going to try a shower.

Shower/bath was lovely. Contractions didn't seem to slow down/get weaker while I was in, but seem to have now....or maybe not. Trying to sort out birth pool by myself. Either that or need to go back in the shower, hurt so much less. Not sure I have room for it in the living room, but don't want to wake the kids if I don't have to. Seem to have lost all plug, just bloody show now.

Can't decide whether to call birth support in or not. Hubby is incapacitated & my friend was going to come keep me company. Don't want to call her too early, but don't want to leave it too late either, since it's a half hour drive & she'll have her 4 month old with her.

Anyone up? Think it's too early to call her?

Think I don't have to worry that this isn't "it". An attempt to sleep, a beer & an hour in the tub with shower on & the plug in haven't stopped the contractions.

I think if you want her and need her help call. I am sure she will be happy to come.

I look forward to seeing your update about holding your LO.

She called me! But I was almost too slow.

I'll let my sweet friend share the details, but I'm guessing she's too sleepy and snuggly to type just now.

Hey everyone. Our 3rd boy arrived at 5:35 this morning. When active labout kicked in, it really kicked in. I'm a bit sore & wobbly feeling. He's nursed a couple times.

Will post story later, 1ht & very tired.
