Did nipple stimulation ever actually work to bring you into full on labor? For me it always brings mild contractions but they stop as soon as the stimulation stops. just wondering if it actually worked for anyone. thanks

edited since someone lurked here, took what I said (about trying to avoid pitocin, even though yes, I know its the same as oxytocin, doesn't mean I wanted it), and mocked it on another site. Pretty lame.
mom to z (June 2009) and m (may 2011)
My son's water had been broken for a week with very little labor. Finally I decided to go ahead and try to kick start it so I took cotton root bark and used a hospital grade pump. Within an hour things were moving. I had my baby 12 hours later.
I took 2 doses of cotton root bark tincture 30 minutes apart. I did 2 cycles of pumping for 15 minutes and stopping for 15 minutes.

I agree with starrlamia, however, sex really seemed to do the trick for us. We weren't trying to induce labor, as I was only 36 weeks, but the same night we did the deed, I ended up getting really sick all into the next day (all that day I was losing mucus plug), and then the day after that, my water broke, and we had babies.
