What would you get your husband to do/read to prepare for UC?

We had a UC 5 years ago and then had a midwife for our youngest. I am now 35wks pregnant and planning a UC due to not being able to get a midwife this time. I plan on getting my husband to read Emergency Childbirth again as well as reading about infant resuscitation. Any other suggestions?

sounds like you have most bases covered........ just make sure you have the supplies on hand and tell hubby what they are for.... go over your birth plan ahead of time so you don't have to discuss stuff (such as when you would transfer if needed or you changed your mind) when laboring. You don't want drastic stress induced decisions made

Infant resuscitation & neonatal resuscitation are different so be sure to learn neonatal.

Also anything I learn I tell my husband. Also we watch births on YouTube together. I have a playlist of "info" type clips for quick info bursts that he can watch

We are reading "Birthing from Within" together also.

I have read the Midwife Manual Portion of Spiritual Midwifery and highlighted key points along the way. He is now reading it and also focusing on my highlights.

I try to find quick how tos for him to watch since he is busy. But he does set aside serious study time also.
