twin possibility?

We are completely UP/UC this pregnancy and due in January. I'm currently 18 weeks and measuring at 22. Hubby was feeling around today and felt two separate hard areas about 5-6 inches each. One lower in my pelvis on the right side and one wrapped around the top left. We don't have a fetoscope yet so we have not been able to hear heart tones (hoping to Get one this week)... just wondeRing what you all thought.

I was going to suggest trying to listen to the heartbeat.... that's probably your best bet. Its definitely possible!

Maybe head and bum? That's what I usually felt.

I agree with above poster. Probably just head and bum....but of course there are always possibilities! With my last I was almost positive that I was pg with twins....but turned out to be a singleton =)

So we have been hearing heartbeats!.... I'm now 22 weeks and measuring 26. We are funding the hb along my pubic Bone only... and it's always in the 140s.... but last night it was beating so fast (almOst sounded like there were extra beats) and we got 186.... baby shifted and wet picked it up again at 142.... then I listened around and could also a hb on the right side at 163....I moved back and fourth from pubic bone and right side and both hbs stayed in the same ranges (140s-pubic or 160s- right side) along the top we are only hearing swishing and my hb (assuming that's the placenta)

could be twins for sure...you definitely look larger for 22 weeks
If you plan to get a u/s, that would obviously clear up any questions =)

No ultrasounds for us. ... just so curious..... we're going to plan for two Just in case... and all birth possibilities/variations. .... just wish we could get a definite sign of multiples without having to a doctor or get an ultrasound. ..hubby is completely convinced there are two!

Random question, but did you notice movement pretty early as well? DH and I are not as far along but also don't want any ultrasounds and due to the crazy difference in this pregnancy from my first two, most people are saying girl, but my hubby sometimes jokes twins. I know he's joking and I'm fairly certain it's only one, but I'm only ~12 weeks but I've already felt little flutters here and there which I know are not gas so just wondering if you noticed something similar with yours. Thanks!
