Yup, well, not hot enough weather wise though... I can't believe my boy turns two next week! Where does the time go? He's so big.

Someone send me "get over puking" vibes, eh? I'd really appreciate it!

Okay, too tired to blather on.

hey mamas! Can't believe Sept. is already here! And I'm done being pregnant! It's soo weird how mother nature does this weirdo thing to your memory about pregnancy, labor and birth... Like "oh, was that all?" But during each, you're like "when does it end???????" :LOL
Baby is doing great, drunk off milk and so strong already! I'm doing okay, body is still pretty darn sore and tired. It burns down there when I pee, but with close examination, I'm pretty sure I didn't tear. Will be sitting in some epsom salts anyway!

yvonnemlv: hope you feel better!! Try some ginger lemon tea..mmmm... I LOVE the stuff, ill or not. It was my best friend the first 4 months.

amyjeans: hope you're feelin alright! Sending healthy vibes to both of you!

Hello mamas!
It
/s great to come to the forum and see all the new births.

Almost a year ago I last gave birth and finalllllly I got that birthstory done, because I want nothing more than to share what I can with anyone looking for empowerment in their births. I put it in the birthstories forum so it would be an easy link for [people here, and if Amy would like ( Amy how are you feeling?) to link it to the rollcall (that got big!) for me that would be great!

http://www.mothering.com/discussions...76#post3720076

Congratulations Shell!

all Set with the list! I am feeling better. Weird thing though...I thought I had a uti, because I tested my urine and my leukocytes and ph levels were off the charts. So Imade an appt with my GP, I go there- and my levels are fine. WEIRD! So we tested my urine there with my strips and sure enough, it was fine. I guess I caught it in time and flushed out whatever was happening.
Tragedy averted.
Hey- 11th week!!!! c'mon 2nd trimester~

I'm 24 weeks now, and alternately getting "you're so huge, it must be twins" and "you're so tiny, are you sure you're 5 months?"
My fundal height is still really high- 28cm at 24 weeks, but it doesn't seem like a problem, so I'm just noting it down on my charts and thinking "hmm, that's odd." I'm thinking I might get an ultrasound, as I really want one for fun and reassurance, and I have to go see a doctor to verify my pregnancy and EDD so I can get Medicaid (in case of an emergency).
Got a lot of energy back finally, I am in school and riding my bike around a lot and actually keeping the house clean (which lasts for about 5 seconds before my 2.5 yr old and 25 yr. old boys destroy it).
I can see my belly moving all the time now, this baby is really strong in there. Julian likes watching it. It's weird, but for the longest time I didn't believe a live baby would come out of this pregnancy and my partner said he felt the same when I confessed that the other day. I still don't have total faith but am actually starting to believe I'll have another baby in December.

Amy, so glad you kicked the UTI out of your system!
Yvonne! So sorry you caught it!!! Wishing you quick healing.

Jesse, I relished every word of your birth story. Just beautiful!

Mandy, I'm just impressed that you can remember how many weeks you are. I'm lucky if I can recall my due date! :LOL FWIW I measured ahead most of my pregnancy with my 2nd baby. I think fundal height is just for fun and trivia! Around 25 weeks when I was measuring 37 (confirmed by a MW and then by a Dr.) I got an U/S. It was just one baby. Water levels were all fine. I was just building a nice big house to shelter my baby. The U/S really put my mind at ease though. The thought of twins totally freaked me out. Mentally and emotionally it was the right choice for me to get an U/S.

hey everyone! One week pp here, and our little boy is so sweet and peaceful! Everyone who sees him is shocked that he "never cries." He just zones out on visitors and offers several smiles, listening and watching attentively to the world around him. I am just soaking him in every day, and feel a psychic connection with this child. I got my birth story written out:
Planned unassisted birth of our sweet boy!

Arora: great to hear from you, hope all is well with your pg. Is that babe giving you some good tickles & hugs in there?

yvonnemlv: hope u kick that UTI! and don't give it to anyone else! :LOL

Michelle! Thank you soooo much for sharing your birth story with us. That was just beautiful! What a wise mama you are!

Yes, I'm loving feeling the baby roll and kick. It's such a blessing to be pregnant. I try to really focus on all the sweet positive things. A baby growing inside is such an immense gift. I am getting some good BH lately. Nice to know my uterus remembers how do it!

I just love all the stories and support here!

Our baby is now 1/2 baked and will be joining us in a bit. I've been hungrier then usual, hopefully due to baby getting bigger and stronger (as opposed to my rear getting bigger and stronger), I can tell it is though those kicks and nudges are great. I can feel the entire perfect outline, which end is the head and butt..the sweet outline of the back!

just living and getting ready. We're having an u/s a few weeks from now (I know not typical uc stuff) and looking forward to it.

Glad all of you sound well! I'm compulsively making little white sleep dresses and itty bitty diapers. Think I've grown a hump from being at the machine so much! I also got my moses basket back, and hope to make new padding for it. It's never been used for more then storing diapers, but why not have it be cute? Maybe this baby will prefer to nap in the bed then my sling? :LOL

Wondering if any of you, like me, are planning to have a family member stay with you after birth to manage the household stuff?

Rockies: I wish we had planned to have someone help out with household stuff afterward...would have made a big difference. And don't you love those little punches & kicks??? The only time it feels really good to get socked huh..? :LOL

Every is ten days old and MIL is driving up here to take us to the ped. We STILL haven't gotten him weighed (we have no scale)...all we know is that he's 21 inches and eating & pooping good! I'm just so curious though! If he's been eating pretty good & pooping pretty good, what do you think would be the difference in his weight now & at birth? About the same maybe?
Anyway, I'm feeling good. I want to walk around and do stuff, but I want to make sure I heal completely. I know things are starting to go back to normal down there cause it doesn't really burn when I pee, and I ITCH LIKE HELL (sorry TMI). : Any tips on the itching?????????

after our last I had a peri-bottle and aimed it right with chilly water to help with the healing itch

I imagine a soak in the tub might feel OK, too.

Well, I'm now at 39wks! I'm getting more annoyed with being pregnant and am trying not to get too anxious. My 'due' date is a full moon, so dh thinks that's when the magical moment will be. I just keep thinking I'll go over so I don't get disappointed!

This baby feels so LONG. The head is engaged but the butt is still up under my rib cage! I don't think this one is as heavy as the last one, though. My last baby was 10.6, but who knows? Maybe this one will surprise me! :LOL

Man, I hate the feeling that my life is on hold!! I know it's not technically much longer, but every day seems longer than the one before. *sigh*
