Just wanted to post here to let y'all know I had my daughter. No complications, but after 36 hours of active labor, I decided I needed assistance after all & went in. I was just exhausted, physically & mentally. There was no physical reason I could not have stayed at home. Nothing with the baby anyway. I don't want to even hint at discouraging other people from going UC. For me it was a matter of knowing my own limitations. Nothing I did helped ease the pain from the contractions at all. Not walking, squatting, dancing (I danced through most of my early labor actually; bellydancing was originally a labor aid), being in the pool, not even a drink. I figured a sane mama was more important for the baby than anything else, and I was seriously starting to lose it at the end.

Sabra: Mama to Bobbie (3/02), Linda (1/04), Esther (10/05), Marie (11/10), & Douglas (11/12)

Sabra way to let your heart guide you! I believe it's a wonderful UC moment when your heart tells you to do something and you do it!

Welcome little Esther!

Have a joyous peaceful Babymoon! Looking forward to reading your birth story and learning from your experience.

Sagesgirl a sane mama is definately a priority! I think the best thing about UC is the ability to make your own choices and decisions and thats just what you did! Glad you and baby are well
