Well, it's extremely toxic in high doses. Obviously lots of beneficial things are but in the case of blue cohosh I just feel that there isn't enough known about the possible effects on the baby.

amyjeans, easy, loving labor vibes to you!
Tabitha, hope you feel better soon.

As for me, I've been early with all my babies, and I'm feeling that this baby will be here by the end of March....especially since my usual fears have been cropping up. The labor I can deal with okay and with my last birth I discovered that if I'm in a whirlpool tub with the jets going, labor is fairly easy for me, but the pushing stage has always been very painful for me no matter what...so I've been working through that, reminding myself that it's only 2 or 3 real pushes (maybe 20 minutes tops, of pressure down there) and that's such a short amount of time/pain to deal with to gain such a beautiful and precious gift. Once in a while the fear of "what if something goes wrong" crops up, then I just read my affirmations, remind myself that I'm good at following my intuition (and would get/seek help in a real emergency) and that the majority of births go without a hitch - NOT the other way around. So, that's where I'm at!

Rachel ~ homeschooling mama to six.
