Anytime now, Two nights ago I thought for sure because i was having ctx while laying down/sleeping which hadn't happened up until then. Yesterday ctx were actually noticeable without actually touching my stomach. Tonight, they still aren't timeable but they are noticeable... I have to keep telling myself to just take it in stride and not get excited until i know for sure because usually when i go to bed things stop.. and the drop to rock bottom of having two weeks of maybes on my mind really stressed me out for two or three days (broke down crying/throwing tantrums/yelling at DH for a day and a half before i evened out) I'm feeling much better now, everything has come together as far as finances and the house being clean and knowing what town DH is working in and stuff... I'm so ready to meet my baby and know whether i have a boy or a girl!

Definitely sounds like baby is coming soon for ya, muskokan! YAY!

I had some really intense squeezes last night while laying on my side trying to fall asleep. I felt my stomach lift off the support pillow! So exciting... Am I kwazy for loving labor?

Hi mommas!

After bragging about how I haven't been sick this time (had severe hyperemesis with my daughter) I am starting to get queezy. Ugh.

Other than that nothing new. Hope all is well with you guys!

Weegift333 here...

Because we aren't completely *certain* on our dates and have elected not to have any u/s during our UP, the earliest we could possibly be due is 2/6, but the latest we could be due is in the first half of March! :-P So I am completely in the dark on it...

I have had really good, strong braxton hicks contractions for about 1/2 of the pregnancy, and I actually enjoy how they feel for some reason. I don't remember thinking that they felt pleasurable during my first pregnancy, so that's interesting (and odd)...

I feel like it could happen anyday; we did a belly cast a couple of weeks ago, that was fun -- when I compared it with the cast I did for my first, my belly looked very much the same in terms of size and shape! Kinda funny...

I'm pretty sure I just have one in there but there are days that I wonder... ;-)

I've pretty much assembled our supplies etc, except for snacks and drinks and also sitz bath herbs --

BTW, is anyone nursing through their pregnancy? My dd occasionally asks to nurse and I go as long as I can but it is excruciating; does this change once the baby is out and my hormones shift around or can I just expect to be sore/sensitive during nursing b/c of the frequency of newborn nursing needs plus having a toddler who will undoubtedly want "the other one"...? :-)

Oh how exciting... babies due anytime.

I'm still feeling like the walking dead with m/s but I'm 11w on Monday so maybe the end is nigh? One can hope! I have been praying for it... having it all day is so awful when you have two Beans needing care and all the regular stuff that comes with life. Still though... it is reassuring as well since we have not heard a heart beat or what not. I am resisting using my midwife friend's doppler and holding out for the fetoscope whenever I feel so inclined. Can you hear on those at 12w? 16? I can't remember.

In the meantime, starting to put together a list of things I am going to buy to have on hand (herbs, tinctures, homeopathics, etc.) so I can figure out how to spread out the cost. I also keep wondering in the back of my mind about 2 since I'm a fraternal twin and have had a thought that I'd have two girls next pg (before I got pg) but we'll see. Not holding my breath, the chances don't increase a huge lot with me being a fraternal twin... but a little.

My twin sister is due 2 days before me (my due date is actually 8/28) so that's pretty cool. Just waiting for the blessed 2nd tri.

Happy births to you Mamas that are due... wishing you well!

I know, isn't that a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? She's my only sibling too and my best friend (and lives all of 15 min. from my house). We have had a tough time getting together for pictures but we'll keep trying - we surely can't miss the opportunity (and as of now, little belly (or at least for her, she's a first time Momma)). I'll share some pictures when we take them.

I was going to but my son actually FORGOT how to nurse. (He can't figure out how to latch nor how to suck any more...) This was around month 5. It's probably more painful because your breasts are making colostrum now instead of milk. I bet after the milk kicks in, it won't be as painful (unless you have thrush?).

I'm hoping my boy can re-learn to latch and suck once there's milk in there to reward him for his efforts. Right now, it's just colostrum and ain't flowing the same, although he likes the taste and thinks it's funny to try to latch on. I maybe expressing milk for him for the next few years (non-vax'ing are we).

I'm nursing my 18 month old dd, with no end in sight. It hasn't gotten painful yet, but boy is it irritating sometimes. We used to nurse pretty much all night long, but now I pretty much nurse her to sleep and substitute the breast witha binky, because if she nurses all night I cannot sleep at all. When she fusses and spits out the binky I nurse her until she's satisfied and pop the binky back in, so we're still nursing on demand but her need to comfort suck is being met without driving me insane. It's my way of avoiding actual night weaning, which I know she isn't ready for yet.

I am so sorry! I think the same thing happened to me.. the efirst 6-7 weeks were good.. then bam.. puke city until week 19! heheh..

My mucuos plug is falling out... falling out... falling out... (like to the tune of london bridges falling down...)

Not too much at once, but enough to notice it.

Tee hee, my DH was stressing about some extra work he promised to do for another company... so i teased him that my waters breaking now and baby coming would probably stress him out even more... but he replied, "no, it would bring welcome relief and a stress break"

Hello everyone!

Is there a way to tell where my placenta is without an ultrasound? I am just really worried about it this time. With my UP/UC with ds#2 I never worried about it. I really do not want an U/S. I am 15 weeks right now. Could I hear where it is with a feta-scope later on?

Anyways, I am doing well. Not as sick as I was. I am only throwing up 1-2 times a day now! Yay for me! Baby is moving well and I feel pretty sure that this baby will be healthy.

Dd really hopes this baby is a sister for her!

I look forward to hearing about the babies coming soon!

welcome mamas! Good to hear from everyone!
Things are well over here- accept that all 4 of us are still in the midst of a nasty cold. And my GP thinks I have a UTI- so I am on antibiotics for 10 days...totally sucks!

Besides that- lots of baby motions, flexes, and dialation- he/she dropped a bit and is really putting lots of pressure on my pelvis.
Its soo cool to feel the flexes and remember when I had Sydney- just how intense they got- just like they are now, but stronger--- ooohh it was such a great feeling!
Funny, we are only given just so much and no more than we can handle. That is what gets me through it- knowing my body will not push me over the edge...it'll bring me right up to it, but no farther.
I just hope I can handle the 2 little ones orbiting me while I try to focus and labor with ease.
hey- anyone wanna come out here and watch the girls while I'm birthin?

he he he

I'm also just checking in. I'm still around and very pregnant, 3 days until my "due date" I'm wondering what my MW is going to say tomorrow at our "40" week appointment.. I'm still going to put off any interventions for another 3 weeks atleast since my LMP was exactly a week behind the U/S date.

Aurora -- it depends on where the placenta is, you won't be able to hear it if it's around back, obviously. But sometimes you can tell because the sound changes from place to place. (It needs to be *really* quiet in the room for you to hear it.) To me it sounded more muffled. If I hadn't been able to find it, I might have had an U/S, I don't know. Certainly I would have been very aware of how things we're feeling and if I had any spotting or bleeding.

Thanks for the info.

I figure I will just relax for now and then get a fetascope when I am 20 weeks. I will see what I can discern and then go from there. I don't want an U/S but because I am feeling concerned about it I might if I can't find the placenta by sound.

It might not help *yet* but I knew where the placenta was because it was the only place that I wasn't getting kicked or feeling parts firmly. (Top left - my left - and near the back of my uterus last time!)

I love how in touch you mamas are with your bodies. I wish I could distinguish what is what in my belly- I only know when he/she is awake or asleep, or burrowing in my pelvis!

I am thinking of doing a henna tattoo on my big ole belly. I wish I could find someone aroud here who could do it! I am so not that talented!

Mama to 5 babies. UCer, too!
