How old are you? (If you're comfortable sharing.) 24
Where are you? Riverside, CA
Are you currently PG? Yes! Due in 4 or 5/07
Are you/Did you UP? So far we are. I will continue unless I get concerned about something
Are you telling others about your UC plans? Yes, I hear a lot of crap about it, but my mom and several of my firned support it- actually one friend if flying down to be with us at the birth. She had 2 non-med hospital births and is very supportive and interestied in UC!
Have you UCed before? Nope- this is baby #1!
About your family:
How old is your significant other? DH is 25
How long have you been with your s.o.? We've been together for almost three years, married for a little over a year
How many children do you currently have? If so, what ages? 0
Will your older children be present for the birth? n/a
Will you/do you:
Co-Sleep? We want to get an Arm's Reach co-sleeper bed. I'm all for co-sleeping, but with the almount of tossing, turning and love-making that goes on, the co-sleeper bed might be better!
Wear your baby? Absolutely!
Immunize/Vaccinate your baby? Not sure yet. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I'm not for vaxing, but dh is pretty mainstream. He usually trusts my mothering instincts, but I try to ease him into this stuff gently.
Circumcise your baby? Yes- for religious reasons.
Homeschool? We'd love that! It all depends on our finances. Once DH is finished with school we'll hopefully be able to live on his salary alone. We're keeping our fingers crossed!
Follow a special diet? (e.g. Vegan, macrobiotic, etc.) We eat Biblically kosher and I'm slowly easing DH into a primarily lacto-ovo vegetarian diet. I've basically gotten him off of beef and introduced him to all sorts of yummy "meat-like" foods- he loves portobello mushrooms, artichokes and some vegetarian stuff. My dream is to eat primarily vegetarian food, with some pultry and/or fish occasionally and lamb maybe for special occasions. I think it's healthier to go meat-free.
Well that's all I can think of for now, feel free to add your own questions.
