Just a quick update on me!

Little BabyKoz (aka Baby Noah came flyin' into this world last Monday, August 6 weighing a whopping 10 pounds 1 oz and 22 inches long!!

The birth was AMAZING. It was fast once active labour kicked in, I think all in all it was about 3 hours? 4 at the very most?

At any rate, wow is all I have to say. This was my first UC and what a huge difference in recovery, in mental well being (I'd had pretty bad PPD with the first two and no sign of it at all this time), BF'ing was wayyyyyyyyy easier this time too and no milk supply issues at all this go around!

There really isn't much of a birth story just because it was so fast, and well... wonderfully uneventful really.

The labour itself was not painful until he was crowning. And actually that is the only time I chose to push, was just to get the burning ring of fire over with. Other than that I was able to relax enough and let my body do what it needed to.

I had to laugh though. DH took the kids to the park around noonish and when they came back I was in the tub. Matty/DS who is 3 y/o promptly kicked me out of my bath, but then by that point I was wanting to sit on the toilet to labour anyways. I was also needing to moan a little to help balance the energy my body was using and putting out. So there we were, the 4 of us (Matty/DS, Mia/DD and DH) in our bathroom and with each rush we would all moan/groan together and then burst out into giggles afterwards. It was such an awesome memory for this birth (one of many). Who woulda thought you can giggle your way through labour?

It was just DH who was there for the actual birth. The kids got bored and went downstairs to watch TV. It just seemed so complete and so beautifuly intimate with it just being DH and I. He and I created this perfect little miracle and it was just him and I that welcomed Noah into the world yk?

At any rate, my very mainstream husband is now a UC, HB convert.
For someone who was truly very nervous about it just being him and I, he was amazing. I could not have done it without him. He can't stop telling everyone how great it was, and how natural and relaxing it was. That's a lot coming from him - you have no idea. It definitely brought us even closer together (when we were really close to begin with).

Here are some pictures.

I can't believe it's already been 10 days already!!!

Pics 2

I know I am pretty quiet when it comes to posting, but I was/am on here every day reading and I just want to thank all of you for your advice, resources, wise words of wisdom etc. It was great having this support and little network to lean on so to speak during my pregnancy.

Yay! Congratulations on your cutie! And so sweet your experience of birthing with your husband, I totally agree with how much closer a UC can bring a couple, it's just amazing!

CONGRATS!! That is an awesome experience! LOL, giggling through the birth, wish I could have done that, ha ha! Also wonderful that your DH is now on board! Loved the pictures, btw, wish I would have taken more pics of DS when he was 0 days old.

Circ doesn't work! Stop the violence of circumcison. Had another UP/UC/HB in August!
