I could totally research this but am spread thin right now.

My oldest two kids are weaned but both are allergic to gluten and dh is sensitive as well so we are avoiding it with the baby. I'm not sure how much wheat gluten metabolizes and if it passes through in such a way as to be a problem for the baby.

Links? Suggestions?

Thanks

Mom of a 7 yr old, 4 yr old, and 1 yr old. Wow. How did that happen?

I'm quite sure it does.

Yes, it does.

Here's one study. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9867098 Celiac.org lists a bunch more if you search. You can also search pubmed. Any food proteins, not just gluten, pass into bm.

Yeah, just more time consume (which I have precious little of). dd and ds are GF and ds is allergic to soy, and I'm lactose intolerant and all 3 of us have mild allergies to various other things.

Just a lot of scratch baking and no more going out to eat.
