We have cut out all dairy and are trialing ghee. Butter failed terribly, but ghee seems ok for now. Anyone have anything to share on this subject, like did ghee work for you?

And anyone that have dairy allergies use sheep milk fine? We trialed raw aged sheep cheese, but it failed. I want to try sheeo yogurt, but I have to buy a case to even get some. Is it worth it, like do you think it will work? I really miss yogurt.

Ghee works for us, and no other dairy has so far. We've trialed goat's milk kefir a long while ago, and it didn't work then. I'm hoping to trial again in the not too distant future...

If you are going to try sheep's yogurt, maybe ferment the yogurt for at least 24 hours? Based on what I've read about the SCD and GAPS diets, 24 hour fermentation takes out most of the lactose (at least in cow and goat milk) and that can help some folks to digest it/tolerate it better.

Good luck!!

I have no clue...Maybe ask in the tf forum?? I don't see how letting it get warm and sit out to culture extra could hurt it, but I really don't know enough about this at all...

Good luck!!!

Ghee never worked for us, but both of my daughters could only ever tolerate sheep's milk. It's so hard to find, though.

Just a note, my ds fails ghee if it is not from organic grass fed cows/animals. I tried just some conventional ghee and we has issues
