Sorry if this has been covered a thousand times, but I didn't see anything on the resources list.

Does anyone have a rec for a good probiotic that is both diary and soy free? One for me and one for my 5 month old. I realized today that the probiotic I have plus my prenatals have soy. Sigh.

I think we both tend to have yeast overgrowth. . .what is the protocol with yeast and fermented foods? I thought you should reduce fermented foods for yeast. . .but then you are left with only supps for the probiotics?

If its not contraindicated for yeast I'd love to try and make water kefir, anyone know where to get some grains?

We just started Custom Probiotics. The owner sent us a free sample even! I'm planning on ordering more when we run out.

we switched from a store bought brand (purchased at whole foods) that have trace soy and dairy... ds is IgE to soy and intolerant to HLC High Potency Powder... it is human strain so free of all allergens. We have had dramatic changes in poop consistency. sorry if tmi... he went from runny(actual water consistency) to beautiful "hummus" consistency since switching to these probiotics I definitely think that these probiotics are by far and away the best we have every tried. We purchased from Rockwell nutrition. Jane S on this forum recommends them and I seriously thank her for doing so!!

I think Kirkman and Pharmax have dairy and soy free products.

I don't know what the general rule for candida and fermented foods is, I can say that DD's yeasty gut gets better when we eat kimchee very day. It's tasty and cheap which is a nice change from pills.

We use Klaire labs. I really like them and our doctor (we order directly/not through him at all) told me he believes they are the best out there.

I have used vitamins and probiotics, while pregnant and breastfeeding, from the following site:

There are kefir starters (which is really good if you have a yeast problem), there are probiotics and the multi vitamins. The products do not contain soy or wheat or dairy. The probiotics do not appear to either, according to the label.
