Anyone have an opinion as to which of these is better for eczema?

I'm thinking of buying a cream/lotion for my infant son's eczema.

Thanks a lot.

I would personally not use any of those... instead I would get some lansinoh lanolin and use that. It's natural and not petroleum based which can irritate eczema.

Nic, loving mama to 5 with a SURPRISE 6th on the way.

Nice idea Demeter.

I was trying to avoid the petroleum based creams up until now, but thought I might need to break down and buy these if they work. Thanks again for the suggestion. Yeah! I've got some upstairs ...

Unrefined shea butter works for a lot of people, including my daughter.

eczema is generally caused by what we eat, or come into contact with. Try to cure it from the inside out would be my recommendation. To soothe already irritated skin you can make a mix with either GSE (grapefruit seed extract) and a carrier oil like olive or coconut (coconut oil would be best as it is a natural yeast fighter too) or tea tree oil mixed with the coconut oil. Just a few drops of the GSE OR TTO, in a bit of the carrier oil. for instance, if you have a teaspoon full of the coconut oil, mix in 4 drops. test it on your skin first. GSE can be put straight on the skin, but can cause drying so it is not recommended. TTO can irritate if used without dilution. Then cut all dairy (most likely culprit, though it can be other things like wheat, soy, etc.) out of the diet of both of you and cure the eczema from the inside out.
