Hi,

My 2.5 yr old has multiple allergies : dairy (which she seems to have outgrown), wheat, corn, chocolate, nuts and shellfish.

She has been off these offending foods for over an year now and where as earlier she would not gain weight.... recently she was steadily gaining weight an doing ok ....

2 weeks back she had the stomach virus which has been so rampant...diagnosed by the doc. A day of vomiting an two days of diarrhea. Anyway that seems to have left her but since a week now whenever she eats she has an explosive blow-out of poop an it seems like pretty much all her food is coming out in the poop..... She is also not gaining any ounces (we have a weighing scale) since the episode....

I feel her stomach is messed up an she is not digesting her food well.... what can I give her to get her stomach back to her earlier state please?

Thanks for listening.

Sorry, that sounds really hard. Do you think it is her stomach specifically versus her small intestine? Is your DD on probiotics regularly? That can help reset the intestinal flora if it has been disrupted by a bug. Also, I don't know if you have tried clay, but that is really helpful too. There are some threads about ingesting clay on this forum that you could search for (there are specific clays that are safe to ingest, like bentonite clay).
