My 5 month old who is breastfed has only had about 8 mustard seed normal looking BM's.  Most often they are greenish and have mucous/slime in them. After his first BM after birth he got constipated and had really bas sulfur gas.  At about 2 weeks he started showing silent reflux symptoms, doc wanted to put on meds, but when I removed dairy from my diet the symptoms mostly went away(which were the choking on spit up in his throat, hiccups when laid down anywhere up to an hour after eating, and a few others).  Then around 2 months I removed gluten and eggs (which really helped get rid of gas and improve bowel movement frequency).  Tomatoes and any citrus give him bad burns. Onions, garlic, and crucifrous veges give him gas.  About 2 weeks ago he was having more normal smelling poops and no slime, and thinking it might be that I unconciously removed coconut, corn and beef from my diet.  I was muscle tested for him and they said certain things were ok like tomatoes but I think those hurt him.  He still gets hiccups after certain foods, and will spit up even if I have him upright for an hour then put him on his belly to crawl around.  I should mention that he's almost 6 months, about 18lbs, and has 5 teeth.  He had lip tie and that was lasered at 4.5 months, which helped our nursing, alhthough at times he still ikes to eat at the end of my nipple.  He's had 3 cranial/osteopathic treatments and has seen a chiro 2 times.  I also have had him on probiotics but never consistent (like everyday for more than a week as I forget)

So here we are at almost 6 months and I really want to know what I can eat and can't.  I'm losing too much weight and having supply issues.  I want to take the next 2 weeks and remove any possibly offenders and then slowly try adding things back in.  I have been off gluten and dairy for about 4 months, but others like eggs, corn, soy, coconut, nuts, etc have been on and off.  The big issue is what to eat.  So I'm here to ask for your thoughts on my situation, like am I missing some puzzle piece here, and what I can eat for the next 2 weeks and not starve.

Here's what I want to avoid:

  • Gluten
  • Dairy
  • Tomatoes
  • Corn
  • Soy
  • Coconut
  • Onions & Garlic
  • Cruciferous Veges-broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, etc
  • Nuts
  • Eggs
  • Beef
  • Citrus

Please help with any ideas you have.

Have you checked out Dr. Sears TED?  It is a strict 6-8 food diet and then you VERY slowly reintroduce things. It is tough but *shoudl* get you to baseline faster.
