So my DD since she was an infant has had eczema. Her doctor told me not to worry about it, and it will get better as she gets older yada yada. Anyways when she was a toddler I noticed when she ate ketchup, dressings, and mayo she would inevitably get it all over her face. After she was done eating and I cleaned her up there would be a bright red rash on her face where the food had been. I asked the dr about it and he said it was probably a preservative and those types of allergies aren't life threatening and basically don't worry about it and move on. I did my own research and thought it was caused mostly because those were acidic foods.
Fast forward and my dd is 5. Anyways I bought her a bag of cinnamon twists (churro like things) and let her eat some today and she has the huge red rash on her face where the cinnamon/sugar was. The only thing I can see it having in common with the other things is soybean oil. It also says "spice extractives" so who knows what those are. I decided I had enough of this and am going to take her to a dr (a different one.) Has anybody experienced anything like this?
