I was told 2 months ago that my baby and I had thrush. He responded well to allopathic treatment, but I haven't. My doctor told me that the thrush was bringing out eczema for some reason. I've never had eczema and don't have it anywhere on my body except my nipples. I have seen 4 doctors and it is still unclear if it really is eczema or related to yeast. Conventioal creams worked only temporarily. I have tried working with diet a bit and have taken acidopholis supplements. I've also increased my B vitamins to support my nervous system. I am taking Bach flower remedies for emotional support since my condition developed after the sudden death of a close friend. I am also working with a homeopath, but as of yet I have not found relief from any of the above methods. I am becoming desperate! It is extremely painful for me to feed my baby and I'm on the verge of giving up. This causes a lot of sadness since I am very pro breastfeeding. I nursed my first ds until he was 3 and the thought of weaning my second ds at 6 months is heart breaking. If any one else has had a similar problem or has any suggestions for me I would greatly appreciate it! I am one of the few breastfeeding moms in my community and could definately use some support.
