Do silver crowns have mercury? Last year ds had one silver croen put in. The dentist had told me that didn't have mercury. Was she lying?

Crowns are stainless steel. Stainless steel is smooth and shiny, amalgam looks more puddled and is usually darker--it's not anything like the shiny smooth of a stainless steel pan.
