I want to use it for my homemade toothpaste but I checked some pharmacies & grocery stores around here & no one seems to have it (I checked the sugar aisle, the dental aisle, the diabetic aisle, etc.)

If you order it online, where do you get it cheap?

TY!

It should be available at any health food store, big or small. I get mine from Whole Foods sometimes and it's not too pricey.

You can also usually find it on Amazon for a good deal, just in case you ever need more.

*bump*

Just wanted to share a good deal with you:

I always buy xylitol crystals (the 5 lbs bag is a good deal) and xylitol mints/sours at Emerald Forest Sugar, and they're having a sale until June 10.

http://emeraldforestxylitol.com/

Use coupon code XYLITOL2010 for a 10 % discount...and if you buy 50 $ worth (after coupon savings), shipping is free

Maybe it'll help someone else save some money, too

For a great deal ($4/lb.!) on xylitol, check this out:
http://www.epicdental.com/c-8-xylitol-sweeteners.aspx
If you buy 3 of the 5lb bags, you get 10% off. And if you join their auto-restocking "club" you get another 10% off (you can cancel at anytime with no hassle). Plus you get free shipping for orders over $50. So it ends up being $60.73 for 15lbs. Plus it is in heavy, resealable bags, so no worries about freshness. I don't work for Epic. I'm just a happy customer who likes to save cash.

Hi Dave XYZ. Welcome to Mothering!

Why don't you tell us some more about yourself, your family, and how you found MDC (mothering dot com).

Ruth, single mommy to Leah, 19, Hannah, 18, and Jack, 12

Well, I'm not technically a mother. But I work at home, so get to help my wife mother the kids all the time. We have three: boy 4, girl 2.5, girl 5 months. All are still in diapers and the fun never stops!

We use xylitol mostly for coffee, with occasional baking. And after much searching, I found this deal at Epic and wanted to share the fruits of my research. A quick Google search led me to this thread, so hopefully I can help the mothering crew save a few bucks.
