i'm getting two of my wisdom teeth extracted tomorrow, and i will be awake during the procedure. i'm so scared because i havent had so much as a cavity before so my dental experience is zero. i keep having panic attacks over this, my dentist does hypnotherapy for anxiety so i hope it works.
i'm not worried about recovery pain, just worried about feeling something during it.
tell me i'm overreacting. :)

I had 2 removed and one was impacted, so it was dental surgery, and I felt nothing in both cases. You're pretty frozen. The needles pinch, but they usually put a topical freezing on before they put the needles in, and you'll feel pressure during the procedure, but that's about it! The impacted one hurt for a while after and I had to keep up the meds, but the other one was fine.
