I've been trying to find holistic dental insurance, but so far, no luck. If u know one of them, please post it. I'm sure other people are looking for it, too.

Thank you!

Hi, I just saw your post, I know it's a bit old, but since you received no responses, I thought I'd add the info I have. I see a holistic dentist and I get reimbursed from my insurance. I think the key is getting a PPO plan (I have MAMSI), PPO's by nature allow you to see *any* doctor or dentist you want. The "catch" is a) you have to meet a deductible (mine is $50 for individual, $150/year for family) and b) they cover less than if you went to an "in-network" provider. In my case, MAMSI covers 100% preventative care (cleanings, xrays, etc.) in OR out of network, 90% for basic procedures (fillings, root canals, etc.) in network and 80% basic out of network. So 80% is really not too bad. One note for others with insurance wanting amalgam fillings removed, my dentist says to tell them you are having them replaced because they are old/worn and not because of the mercury thing (that way they will cover the cost)!
