My son is at high risk for caries, and thus it is recommended that he see a pediatric dentist early. How do I find one that is holistic? And can I find one that will take my insurance? (we have HMO, unfortunately)

check out these 2 sites for holistic and/or pediatric dentists:
http://www.holisticdental.org/

http://hpakids.org/

our son sees a holistic dentist which is "out of network". we submit a claim to our health insurance and they pay for some of the bill. depending on what gets done at the office (fillings, exam, etc.) depends on how much our insurance will pay.

Last year I had to have my mercury fillings removed. I went to a holistic dentist recommended by the HDA. She is very good and a very good person but you still have to be careful. I do not think she is up to speed on all the research and I think sometimes is unable to recommend or make statements due to the scope of her practice. You still have to do alot of research yourself and continue to advocate. Sometimes the controversies just get in the way of patient care. Sunny

Does any one have any other links for Natural Dentists?
I'm looking for one in the Great Bay Area of California.
