I have *bad* teeth. OK, they were great until I got my first 7 cavities while pregnant with dd#1. I have said 7 cavities which badly need filled.
I also have 4 abcessed wisdom teeth which desperately need pulled. I have had intense pain with them for the past 4 years. I got my first teeth cleaning in 7 years a few months ago, but couldn't afford the work done (insurance didn't cover anything but cleanings or I had no insurance). Now I am about to get on medicaid and might be able to get work done.
I have such bad pain on the right side of my face, ear, teeth, and jaws from these two wisdom teeth that I am in agony and can barely chew. I also have this very strange taste in the back like it's badly infected. The dentist who cleaned my teeth and did x-rays told me I needed them out ASAP.
I am 14 weeks pregnant. Would it be even worth my time to get a dentist and get them removed? I am incredibly uneasy about dental work and last time I had teeth pulled and was locally numbed, I had a reaction to it, shook violently and had to be restrained because I was basically convulsing.
But this should all be an issue even while nursing, right? Is it going to have to be at least 2 years before I can even get these stupid teeth removed?
Sorry about the novel!
