My 20mo DD was scheduled for GA in September and the dentist recommended a few caps, and a crown on one tooth. We heard about the HealOzone on this site and thankfully a MDC membe was able to give me the name of a dentist in Wisconsin that does this treatment......just 15 minute drive for me

We had our initial appointment yesterday and the dentist was GREAT! Dr. Chris at the Center for Cosmetic Dentistry in Madison. He feels that we need to Ozone all 12 of her teeth, most of them just for preventive reasons but was surprised at the previous dentist's recommendations. He didn't think her teeth were that bad. JUST ANOTHER REASON FOR A SECOND OPINION!!:

We have her 1 hour scheduled for the 24th and we hope to do all 12 at the same appointment. We'll see.

Anyway, he felt very good about the situation!

THANKS AGAIN (You know who)!! I really appreciated all of you answers and the time you took to get us where we are today.

Wow, thanks for posting your experience! We might be contemplating a trip there, depending what our dentist today says. Please keep us updated!

Awe shucks, you're welcome. : I'm so glad that things worked out so well for you. It really is important to get a second opinion.

I hope the treatment goes wonderfully, there's no reason why it shouldn't!

Tkald--I'd love to hear more about your experience with Dr. Chris! I have a call in to Jean at his office but I'd love to hear from someone who has been there. Thanks!

This is really interesting to me! My son had a lot of work done almost a year ago, at 26 months old. He's got "staining" on his molars now and I'm freaking out! But this sounds soooo good. Does it only work if the decay is in very early stages?

I've been looking around online for a dentist who does this somewhere even remotely near me (upstate NY) and I thought for sure in the city...but no. Not that I can find, Just this one in Madison and one in Tenn. in the states.

Anyone know of one on the east coast?

Rastamom, the closest place to you ASAIK would be Canada.

Dr. Chris is incredible! We live in MI and have traveled to him for HealOzone twice and had incredible results. I am completely envious that you live so close! Congratulations!

I believe there's a list on one of the yahoo groups. veryyoungkidsteeth and alternativekidsteeth. Both are good groups to join anyway. I want to say it's the alternative group that has the list.

I just sent in to join these groups. Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to look for someone who does ozone therapy by us. Is there a difference between the use of ozonated gas and ozonated water? I really want something that will hit this decay at the source.

I'm pretty sure the gas penetrates further into the tooth, getting at impossible to reach bacteria, while the water is pretty superficial (but still good).

I really hope I can find someone in the area who does the healozone and the laser cavity diagnostics who is also willing to treat an under-3 without papoose boards.

Why does it seem like the field of dentistry has gotten nowhere in the past, I don't know, few hundred years? Maybe I just don't know enough, but why do they all just want to do x-rays, drill, fill, make sure you get your fluoride. That's IT. There's more to it. There just has to be.

Sorry, just a bit of a rant.

I saw Dr. Raymond Bertolotti in San Leandro in the San Francisco Bay Area and I highly recommend him:

That's awesome! HealOzone was the turning point for us, although making other changes is critical as well .

Hi Piemama,

Yes, he does and he's been a great resource to us! He's very kind and patient and my dd (age 7 1/2) just loves him. She refers to him as "Dr. Ray". Now his views on dentistry are quite mainstream and he does advocate the use of fluoride to control decay. However he was never confrontational or disrespecful of our own opinions (I do consider fluoride a poison)which I really appreciate. So far dd has had two Healozone applications and we'll be going to Dr. Sandor Hites in Berkeley for an assessment of the results. Dr. Hites is a biological dentist, quite skillful in terms of technical knowledge and quite familiar with Weston Price's work and research. While Dr. Bertolotti is a worldwide renowned researcher and does a lot of cutting edge work he doesn't provide bio-compatible fillings in his practice, which Dr. Hites does. I'm praying that dd's decay will heal and fillings won't become necessary but if need be, I'll use D.r Hites as a resorce. Hope that helps!

Marilia

Wondering what "bio-compatable" fillings are? Just finished a wrenching day of four fillings , including a "baby-root" canal and three crowns on my dd (age 5)- I feel awful that I went forward with all this conventional and traumatic work but now want to be sure it never happens again. In the bay area, so your resources are very helpful- do you have the contact of the dentist in Berkeley?
