At what age do you think your little ones for their first dental appointment? My son will be 3 in August and I need to schedule his annual physical and I assume his dental appt. Any advice?

Our pediatric dentist starts cleanings at 4 but will see them for an exam before then if you think they need it or you think they need to get used to seeing the dentist before they start cleanings.

i always heard the first check should be at 1, or no later than 6mo after the first tooth comes in, to make sure there are no issues. i'd definitely schedule one for a 3yo.

Our pediatric dentist says sometime around 2 to check their teeth. I would schedule your 3yo and make it a really positive experience for him. My kids LOVE going to the dentist.

Thanks for the advice. I will add a dental appointment to his physical.
