My son is a healthy 18 month old who has never been sick. I think his highest temp was 99ish when he was cutting a molar months back. Last night he walked out of our room from bed (which is rare) and I discovered he was really warm but I didn't think anything because he was acting fine. In the middle of the night around 4am he was restless and whimpering in his sleep. I took his temp and it was 101ish. I tried the cool washcloth but he didn't like it. Gave him some teething tablets and he just wanted to stay up and run around the house and play lol. He did not seem upset at all and I managed to get him back to sleep and we slept in til 9am. When I took his temp in the morning it was in the 99's. He ate, took a lukewarm bath and has been himself although he looks like he feels a lil crummy. I know he has 1 or 2 canine teeth to get in and I am wondering if this is what's causing the fever? He has no other symptoms besides drooling a lot...

My daughter will have an elevated temp with teething, but nothing over 100. She has been sick once and her fever would elevate at night. Turned out she had an ear infection.
