We are in southern Nevada, so it's HOT and sunny. While we won't be hiking usually if it's too hot, it's always sunny. DS is usually in an Ergo or a wrap for a large portion of our hikes. Even with CA baby sunblock I think he should be wearing light weight pants instead? But seriously, they are like $30!! What do you put the little ones in for this??

I hadn't even thought of that LOL He's still too young to know they are girly. I'd prefer something a little more cargo pant like, but that is definitely an option, especially since he'll probably grow out of them in the next couple months. Thanks!

We live in Hawaii, so we deal with this year round! I get the UV rashguards, you can get one pieces that cover the whole baby like this: http://www.sungrubbies.com/product_index_html/product_detail_html/Swimsuit-Baby-UV-Swimwear.htm

Then you pop a hat on and you're pretty much done! They are kind of on the pricy side, but if you hike a lot and don't want to endlessly apply sunblock, they are totally worth it.
