Is he walking unassisted? If so, I'd try some regular shoes, like flexible sneakers. I'm just thinking that as the weather gets nicer, he may be doing more walking outside where you will want firmer soles for protection.
I always just feel shoes and try to bend the soles. If they are fairly bendy then they are flexible enough for DD. This may be moot if you do your shopping online but my DD is hard to fit so she has to try on shoes and walk around a little so I can see if they make her trip or lose her balance. Hth, sorry I don't have more solid leads for you smile.gif

I agree with bendy soles -- I've found Converse and Livie and Luca shoes to be flexible enough for comfortable outside wear.

But if you are looking for truly soft-soled shoes, try Soft Star ( Small company, American-made, soft leather shoes for the whole family. We like them a lot.

I love See Kai Run shoes. We've been buying them for DS since he started walking, and I am very impressed with the quality and the flexibility of the soles. Plus, they're really cute smile.gif

I've been happy with Skidders and water socks.  I like the water socks more than the Skidders, though.

i have fallen in love big time with See Kia Run, just amazing. and you can look around amazon for some sold out styles for cheap too. we just got a few of our favorites from last falls line since we like the brighter bolder winter colors.

one of our twns wears othortics to support his feet while he grows out of ankle pronation so the ortho doc saw his shoes, he raved about them and what a good balence of lateral support and flexible sole they were, he was really impressed. and like has been mentioned they are amazingly cute and super super quality build.
