My 3 year old has been having some really rough nights this week. Last night, in the midst of a 2 hour wake-up, she mentioned that her ankles hurt. Today she kept rubbing behind her knees and complaining of pain there, and in her wrists. It occurred to me that she's probably having growing pains. She also mentioned her throat hurting, though. Is there anything else that I should rule out, or does this really sound like growing pains?

It may be aches and pains due to a cold/flu or something. The achy throat puts me in mind of that. Does she have a low grade fever by any chance?

Gah! Now Dr. Internet has me convinced that she has Scarlet Fever. She developed a little itchy sandpapery patch in her belly a few weeks ago, which has since spread around her torso and armpits. Tonight she's complaining if sore throat. I hate the Internet! And why does thus stuff happen in Fridays???

Murphy is a royal pain in the rear! You can count on illness cropping up the minute the dr's office closes. I try to stay away from Dr Google as much as possible but sometimes he still gets me!
