Wack-a-mole for guacamole
And hamster or monster for lobster
My son used to say ah-go-pa-gi for pumpkin. He was really easy to understand and great at communicating, but for whatever reason that's what pumpkin was. My sister and I still call them that because it was so funny.
I like "bummoon" for balloon and "dramma" for grandma.
My son - cake you! For thank you.
Current faves include: belly buppon for belly button; scunsceen for sunscreen. used to say din down for playground and bockedy for broccoli. and of course, the all time most important NUNK for mommy's milk.
she used to say shnonape for "tomate" (tomato in German). I miss that!
Lately she's been asking for roller-cakes, which took us a while to figure out. She meant a scooter, but confused that with roller skates...
Mama to my little Lily (09/2010), and a sweet baby boy (12/2012)
Both her and my youngest one (3 months) say "eo eo eo" to fall asleep. Love that!!
Mine said "nooh" for nurse for quite some time, then she figured out how to say "nurse" but I thought the other version was so cute! And she still hasn't figured out the second D in Daddy, so it's Daa-ey. But we were playing with a little boy named Noah and she tried to put too many consonants in his name and called him Nona.
this isn't my toddler, but i nannied a girl who said "tell it a bad dooey!"
when she hurt herself, she'd point at whatever it was she tripped/fell over/ran into and say this. cracked me up!
