Since DS started school I am aware of the many differences between 3 year olds. But can anyone talk to me about comprehension?
I see some kids, and certainly most girls... seem to comprehend many more things more than my son.

For example yesterday in school, the teacher told everyone to find two partners and do a funny little dance. My son was the first one called and he didn't know what to do she asked again and then he did point to someone to join him but he didn't get he was suppose to pick another kid.

my husband who was there said that some kids 'got it' right away and some didn't even 'get' as much as my son.

Is there no rhyme or reason to this? My sense is it all happens in its own time.. But I do know that he gets frustrated around "no" a bit more than other kids and i think he can't quite use his words the way he wants to...but then even when he does use his words he can still have a melt which makes me think the issue is he just doesn't want to stop playing with the trucks or whatever and focus on the next task. and that is just more a behavorial thing.

anyway, anyone else aware of the comprehension differences between their children and other kids or maybe even siblings?

please share.
