I think my ds has himself and imaginary friend.( nothing wrong with that)..he is kind of non verbal..well not non verbal but he does not speak clearly..he babbles and throws a couple real words in occasionally ( he is 2.5 yo) ...but I just over heard him telling "someone" in the play room.."No..oh no..you go!!" heheh and when I peeked in he was kind of waggling his finger at uhm...noone.
someone tell me this means he is going to grow up and be a genius.

:LOL My DD had an imaginary friend when she was little. Her name was Sally...short for Mustang Sally. :LOL She used to push her on the swing and set a place at the table for her too.

That's cute.

My niece had a couple of imaginary friends when she was little. One was named Leafy, I think the other was Figgy. They both lived in Africa and if you climbed to the top of the tallest tree, you could see them. She's very, very smart, definitely above average in intelligence. She's going to be 9 tomorrow and gets embarrassed when you talk about her old pals.

My DS had one named Alexander. I don't think he was actually DS's friend because he only came around when DS needed to blame him for doing something wrong. "Alexander did it" :LOL

I actually thought that myself.
my Mom passed away before DS was born...but the crazy thing was when he was an infant I would sometimes show him her picture and he would start to giggle and coo..like he recongnized her...sometimes when he was upset or cranky I would whip out the picture and it always worked like a charm..
I often wondered how long it would take for her to come "visit" him.

I have an imaginary friend story...

When I was little I had an imaginary friend named Lisa. I can still picture her and it's really hard to believe she didn't exist because I have memories of playing with her!

I have 2 older sisters that I didn't grow up with and I got back in contact with when I was around 28 years old, about 7 years ago. I met their children, and my oldest sister had a daughter who was 4 at the time. One day my niece was talking to her imaginary friend and my sister told me, "Oh, M has an im. friend named Lisa, btw.." and I said, "Lisa?? Really? that was my imaginary friend's name!". M, my niece, then turned to me and said, "I know, Aunt Jenn, it's the same one and she said she still likes you!"

It was so freaky. My sis and I just were stunned.

One day when ds was 2 1/2 I was sitting in a resturant with my dad. Ds kept saying he had to get out of his seat, there was a dog under the table. ??? Finally we let him get down and he said, "come here Little Maddie, I got you". Little Maddie is a blue dog, with floppy ears who can fly. Sometimes she flies a Red Baron type airplane, but mostly she uses her ears. The funny thing is, our real dog is named Maddie, so I figured when we got home this other Maddie would be out of the picture, nope! She's gone on to have babies of her own, so there's a whole troop of them. Ds is 4 1/2 now and I will be so sad when Little Maddie leaves us He loves her so much and they have great adventures together

Imaginary friends are cool.
