Last night my DD was acting really wierd. She's NEVER been afraid of anything. (Well, she finds the garage door intimidating when she's in the garage, but that's just good sense imo). But last night she fixated on a piece of lint on the carpet. She refused to walk past it, and cried. When I picked it up, I showed her it was harmless fuzzy lint, even stroked her arm with it (tickled her). But she wouldn't budge until I'd thrown it away.

Was she just tired? Did she think it was a scorpion (she was bitten by one recently)? I WISH I knew what was going through her little head!

My DD is also never afraid of anything, but on a hike last weekend she became totally terrified of...hickory nuts. We had to carry her wherever there were hickory nuts. She's very verbal, but she couldn't tell us what was scary.

grateful mother to DD, 1/04, and DS, 2/08

My babe has been fearless until recently too...everything from the vacuum cleaner to a ladybug.
