So after a distressing night of ds (13 mos) crying and refusing to nurse I took him to the ped this morning and found out he had coxsackie virus (a mouth viral infection). He has blisters on the the back of his throat which explains why it is so painful for him to latch on. I went out and bought him juice pops and I have stuff to make some garlic immune booster broth type thing. I am going to pump and try to give him bm via cup. Any other ideas?

Also, what kind of homeopath could I give him? It is a viral infection and the dr did say he is going to be achy just like the flu and he has a low grade fever. Should I give him a homeopath for the flu? Does that work?

My son's homeopathy gave him a remedy for coxsackie's that was very effective. Duh - I can't remember what it was . . . I'll let you know if I can find it.
Hated that disease - my ds was crying for days - he wouldn't even swallow his spit - but he did nurse and it does go away in a few days.

Hang in there - I'll be back if I can find the remedy rx.
