I'm going to India in four days. First a 15.5 hr flight to hong kong, then 7 hrs to Delhi.

How can I keep ds preoccupied on flight. toys, games, any ideas?

bring some new toys and books. At least one new one for every hour or so and don't get one out until one has expired. Lots of snacks.

Forgo the cutest outfit in the closet and put her in the most comfortable clothes she owns.

Yikes! Good luck.

The truest answer to violence is love. The truest answer to death is life. The only prevention for violence is for the heart to have no violence within it.  We cannot prevent evil through any system devised by mankind. But we can grapple with evil and defeat it, but only with love—real love.

Gopi,

I had a similar experience- 24 hrs journey back to S'pore with 11-month-old dd. by myself. I'm proud I did it!

Yes, dress comfortably, make sure you have sufficient diapers and snacks in various small containers (surprise your child with smth he/she had never tried). I don't remember bringing 24 books/toys! The diapers, and extra change of clothes and blanket, etc was quite a lot already! You cld try a chammoile or lavender spray to spray ard you to calm your child.
Bring some fav books and toys (hide them away a few days before trip and they get real thrilled to see them again!). Offer up also a couple new books and toys.
Look ard you and see if you have fellow travellers with kids, make frens and they can occupy each other for a long time!

Good luck!!
