Okay, I think this is becoming a problem. My 19 mo old ds prefers me over his father. I've told my mate that this is just what baby/ toddlers do, but it's starting to get old from my end too.

I don't get it either. Dp does discipline him more authoritatively than me, but only occassionally, and most of the time they play. So why does ds cry every time I leave the room or the house? Now when I get up in the am, I take him with me to the bathroom, so he doesn't wail on the bed with dp. It's hard on dp. Plus, I would like to be able to be alone or go some place without leaving my son wailing.

I still nurse him, which might have something to do with it. I mean, it seems like since we got back from Christmas vacation a month ago, he nurses constantly when I'm there (I work full-time). Does anyone have suggestions?
