I've been hearing about some doll that pees and poops to use for potty learning. Has anyone tried that? I'm in no hurry to potty train DD (21 months) but she's into checking her doll's diapers for pee and poop and would get a real kick out of one that pees and poops. Too gimicky for potty training? Is there a special kind?

I haven't heard of this! But I'm gonna stay away from anything like this. I hate seeing the dolls on tv that pee- IMO a toddler shouldn't have to worry about that! But I can see how putting it over the potty may help make the connection.

There's a book, video and doll for "Once Upon a Potty". They have a girls' version and a boys' version. We don't have the doll, which I've only seen sold with a doll size potty and the book, but we have the video and book. Both dd's loved them, and I do think it helped give them the idea.
