Nannymom ~ your new thread did not work out... so here you go. You will have to post again on this one, and share your pictures!

Sorry to hear that Iris is feeling crappy.

Eli really liked your pictures! He saw the last one and was laughing, saying "kid laying on the couch!" Not sure what was so funny, but... in the mind of a 2-year-old... it was hilarious. Now he is sitting here, making me click on your pictures over and over, saying "do it again! do it again!" Ah, maybe we'll have to hook them up in 20 years or so...

Cute pics, nannymom.

2 years ago today my water broke. Hmmmmmmmmm, memories

Went to the MW friday. I gained 3 pounds last month and everything looks fine. Went over the birth plan and she is cool with everything on there, so either Josh or myself will end up catching this one. I really like her except this baby moves so much she can never get a heartrate and spends like half an hour looking for it, it drives me nuts

nannymom, those pics are so cute!! I can't wait to get decorating for Christmas.

Do you guys have any suggestions for decorating with no wall space and no floor space to spare?? I'm at a loss! There's literally nowhere to cram a tree.

We thought we had no space either but my husband managed to cram a huge tree in. It looks kind of funny but we are the only people looking at it. how do you feel about fake trees? my downstairs neighbor has one that is flat int he back so it sits right against the wall.

:

This morning started at 2:30 when I woke up after 2 hours of sleep with a horrible cough and larangytis. I got about 5 hours of sleep total before ds woke up and we started our morning.

We spent an hour dancing to old nirvana and ate apples, which was fun, but a bit time consuming.

I needed to be out the door by 11:30 for work at noon. By the time I convinced ds to change his diaper and put on some socks, it was 11. I let the dog in and noticed that she smelled FUNKY. Worse than funky. She had rolled in racooon poo. She stunk so bad that I threw up. Then she threw up, twice. So I cleaned the carpet, stripped naked, jumped in the bathtub and washed her and me while ds laughed and watched.

Got out of the tub at 11:30 and realized ds hadn't had breakfast besides the apples ... got him some cheese and crackers. Packed his diaper bag, packed my work bag, ds "helped me" put on a tiny bit of makeup and then screamed because he didn't like how the nylons looked on my legs. "off mommy! off!"

11:45 I get his winter coat on - zip it up and the zipper jams. He screams because it won't go all the way up. I scream because I can't get it down. I am in my heavy winter coat holding 2 heavy bags. We both start to sweat and stress. I grab a scissors and cut him out of the coat (luckily it was a hand-me-down and getting small). Pick him up, pick the two bags up ... can't find my car keys.

Put ds down, find the car keys, pick everything up again. Get to the car by 11:55. DS cries because we aren't going to grandma's house (she lives 5 hours away).

We get the the babysitter, he struggles down from my arms and says "mommy go work now!"

I'm so happy to be in my office with door closed and mothering on the computer!!!

rainy32 - I have days like that, the jacket thing about drove me nuts just thinking of it, seems similar to being confined in a closed space

My dd is so funny, she has been "in" to different things; birthdays, helicoptors, and a couple days ago she decided she was a fireman-butterfly

jrayn-those pics are so cute!

Past_VNE-I pmd you

rainy- That day sounds awful.
I must say our tree is realy nice. It was a surprise. I came home from traveling and my husband had put it up. We live on the 3d floor so I wasn't expecting one at all this year.

Iris is still sick. i spent all day inside hoping she would get better before Friday when we have our playgroup x-mas party. She can't breath so nursing is miserable. That means she can't sleep well. It is the pits. plus she is not the kind of kid who wants to vegitate when they are sick. So, she is trying to play and is frustrated, exausted, and miserable.

I hope Iris is feeling better soon Nannymom. Will she let you put Saline or Xlear in her nose. I admit to holding Niko down to do that and then nursing him right after as it loosens up the mucus and he is forced to breath it out. Or put her in a hot bath to loosen things up.

Niko is being so cute these days. He is such a flirt. When I lay down with him to nurse he has to give me a kiss first. He puckers up, goes "mmm...mmm" until I kiss him then he giggles and starts to nurse. I took him to the beach yesterday with DD and a friend and he spent the entire time being one with the sand. He found a sand castle someone had left and spent half the time falling onto it, laughing and rolling down it. I forgot my camera of course
But, my Mom is buying us a state park parking pass for Christmas. Most of the beachs in my area are state beaches with a $6 use fee. It will allow us to spend even more time at the beach than ever Yeah!

p.i. - great pics, I need to upload some so I can share too!

Poor Iris!:

Kazmir - that state beach parking pass is one of the best things we ever bought! Dh surfs a few times a week, but mostly we just take Sadie to the beach when we don't have something else planned. The kid loves the beach! We went Sunday and she had the best time just splashing around in about an inch of water, (it was low low tide). I was kicking myself for not bringing the camera

So Saturday night dh and I had our first date night since Sadie was born! My parents watched Sadie and treated us to a dinner out as my belated bday present. It was sooo nice. We went to a really great sushi place near the beach and ate and drank to our hearts content. We came home to a happy toddler, freshly bathed and ready for bed. Now if I could only get her to fall asleep without the boobie we'd be set!

Happy Birthday Marcos and Rosalynn.

My sweet little girl was born exactly 2 years, 4 hours, and 28 minutes ago today. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! She's so cute, she's running around naked driving her brand new cozy coupe. Josh called her from work and told her "Happy Birthday" and now she keeps saying it back, "Hap Burpday!"

charlynn, was it naples sushi? gosh, just reading your post and kazmir's I start missing California! The beach??? Sounds heavenly right now (just scraped frost off the car while wearing heavy coat, gloves, hat, scarf.... )

I hope iris feels better soon

and I hope wyatt doesn't get my cold. I'd rather be sick for 3 weeks than have him be sick for 3 days!

jrayn, cute pictures!!

Holy crap, Rainy...what a day. I'm glad for you that it's long over now. I hope your cold is better soon and that Wyatt doesn't get it. DH was home sick from work yesterday. That's a rare event. He recovered nicely though by this morning, and I'm sure it was the resting that helped him along.

Is Iris feeling better yet?

Marcos and Rozzie.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you guys! :

Charlynn, that sounds fun. I'm glad you got to have such a cool date night.

I just made a thread about it, but had to post it here, too:

Jett won't eat my organic, barely cooked filet that's just heavenly, but he's made an entire lunch from the wheat-free, dairy-free, hard-as-a-rock liver dog training treats from a 'gourmet' doggy place.

Jaclyn - I replied to your thread...basically I'm ready to pull my hair out this week trying to get this kid to eat. It's not like I'm trying to feed her nasty food!:
