My dd is 22 months old and still RF in a Marathon in the center of our Taurus backseat. Tomorrow, I have a doc appt and she is going to stay with a friend of mine.

My dh is picking her up on the way home from work in his work truck. It is a 2001 Nissan Frontier King cab, but the back seats are side facing, so not an option to use. She will have to ride in the front seat with the air bag turned off (I am installing her Roundabout in the truck tonight--which she still BARELY fits in ---her head is JUST below the top of the shell)

The truck does not have latch, but it does have a place to tether the seat IF she is FF, which I am not so sure about. Placing the seat RF, I have to use a seatbelt, which is fine, but not what we are used to using---and I can get the seat installed much tighter using the latch.

Anyway, my question is---which is safest? FF with tether and the seat being installed tighter or RF without tether and not quite as tight as FF.

safest is the best install. if you can get it in tighter FFing, that is what I would do, especially with a 22 month old.

thanks for the response, but it is DEFINATELY a no-go. DH forgot to tell me that the seat belt fastener in the passengers seat is busted...: . So there is NO WAY she is riding in that car! We will have to figure out something else.....
